It has been claimed that Hyams Beach has the whitest
pure silica sand on any beach in the world. You make up
your own mind but don't forget the sunglasses. With its
crystal clear turquoise blue water in the protected bay
alongside the Booderee National park it is the show
piece jewel of Jervis Bay. A quiet hamlet that has
withstood the onslaught of developers over the decades
it has retained its bio-diversity and relaxed sea-side
village appeal and yet it is only a short drive away
from all conveniences of the Towns of Huskisson and
Vincentia. A quaint general store and Cafe is the only
commercial business at Hyams but caters for all the
immediate needs for a quite relaxed beach holiday.
Stroll along the walking tracks and beaches that will
take you onto new and exciting coves and beaches such as
Greenfield's and Chinaman's and Murray's, each with its
own special features and new discoveries to be made in
the rock pools each day. Snorkeling is a great way to
discover the exciting bio-diversity of the marine life
that exist in the Marine Park along Hyams Beach.
